Foster Clark


Foster Clark Products Ltd contacted us as they needed to migrate from an old analogue phone system to a VoIP PBX. During this project we worked alongside Vodafone, who offered the telephone lines for Foster Clarks, after that we continued on our own with the installation of the new Asterisk PBX.

Find Out

During our find out, we took a list of number of extensions that we need to create on the new system, the number reached above 200+. The current switches needed to be replaced, so they can provide POE supply to the desk phones. Number of gates, lifts, fire and intruder alarms that use the telephone line also needed to be shift to the new VoIP System.

Works Carried Out
  • Assisted Vodafone engineers during the installation of the SIP Trunk, this was carried out after hours to avoid downtime.
  • Configuration and installation of the new Cisco switches in several locations across Foster Clark’s Campus.
  • Changeover of the old switches to the new switches, while causing minimal downtime.
  • Modification of the current core network to allow new traffic to be used for Voice.
  • Installation of Asterisk system on a VM provided by Foster Clarks IT.
  • Installation of desk phones.
